Trip Report
It was my third trip into Daren Cilau and, after both the last ones, I’d sworn to never go back. We had a strong team for this trip; Ray, a close friend from uni, Tarn, daughter of the renowned adventurer Mike Stroud, and myself.
Starting from Bristol, where I was living at the time, helped – for once we arrived at the cave at a sensible hour! We moved quickly through the cave and managed to reach the second camp at Restaurant at the End of the Universe; an objective I’d wanted to get to for some years now.
All too soon we were back in the entrance series, miserably crawling our way back towards daylight. Once again I swore to never go back.
